ORCA Privacy Policy

Who we are. ORCA is a ride-hailing platform in North Macedonia that connects passengers with independent licensed taxi drivers. ORCA is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@orca.mk.

What we collect. Your name and phone number when you sign up; your location while you request a ride, and a driver's location while they are online or driving; the rides you take or give, their price and ratings; messages you send through the app; support requests; the device and push-notification token of each phone you sign in on. Drivers also give us their licence details, documents, photos of themselves and their car, and tax number.

Why we use it. To match passengers with drivers, show the price and the trip, let you contact each other during a ride, settle commission and issue invoices, keep riders and drivers safe (start PIN, trip sharing, SOS), handle complaints, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it. During a ride, the passenger sees the driver's first name, photo, car and plate; the driver sees the passenger's first name, pickup and destination. Phone numbers are only used to place a call. A trip you share is visible to whoever has the link until the ride ends. We use Google Maps for maps and routes, and Firebase to deliver notifications. Authorities receive data only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it. Your account data for as long as you have an account. Ride, payment and invoice records for as long as accounting and tax law require, without your name or phone once you delete your account. Location points are kept only as long as needed to resolve disputes about a trip.

Your rights. You can see and correct your details in the app, ask us for a copy of your data, object to processing, and delete your account at any time: in the app under Profile → Delete account, or at orca.mk/account/delete. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency (azlp.mk).

Changes. If we change this policy we will show the new version in the app before it applies.
